I've heard he has moved, but not where.: Roger Meador 1800 Meadow Lake Lane #627 Lancaster, TX 75146 This addr. as of 9/1990. For a list of John and his children, go to my web site and click on genealogy. Follow that to my Pearce FGS document. Some well meaning, but misguided person emailed me something about reformatting my docs for me a couple of weeks ago. I told him absolutely NO, but our email crossed (in the mail) and he told me he'd converted them for me. I haven't had a chance to see if my docs still work or if he has messed them up. 1. [PIERCE-L] Edward Coke Pearce, 1849 -1886, GA
    2. Keith and Paula Griffin
    3. This is what I have on my Pearce family so far: (it is also spelled Pierce in some places) Elias Pearce (1807 - about 1863?) Twiggs County, GA wife: Lucinda Griffin (widow of Henry Solomon, had 9 children)(1805 - 1857) one son: Edward Coke Pearce (1849 - April 3, 1886) born in Twiggs County, died in Houston County, GA Edward married Georgia Allen Sept. 21, 1871 in Bibb county, GA. Georgia was born about 1855, and her father was Captain John J. Allen (CSA). Four children: Annie, Lilly, Rosa and Paul Griffin Pearce. Annie married L. L. Minchew Dec. 24, 1890 in Houston County. By 1941, she had married a Patterson, and was living in Albany, GA. Lilly married William D. Mims March 21, 1893 in Houston County. In 1941, she was living in New Orleans. Paul married 1) Minnie Long (she died in 1910 and is buried in Ft. Valley, GA) 2)Nettie Grace Tillman. He died June 1, 1941 and is buried in Columbus, GA. I have 2 obituaries for Edward Coke Pearce- one says he was a teacher for 13 years in Bibb County public schools, and moved to Houston County around 1884. Col. R. A. Nisbet's wife is mentioned as his half sister (Cora Solomon). His wife had a half sister also, who was married to Dr. J. C. Johnson. The other obituary says he was the Principal of the high school at Waverly Hall Academy in Houston County. Both refer to him as Professor Pearce. He was buried at Liberty Chapel in Bibb County, Ga. Does anyone connect with this family? (I have also posted this to Houston and Bibb counties, so if you are reading this more than once, I apologize.) How would I post this to the web site? Paula
