    1. [PIERCE-L] Alabame Pierces
    2. Hi Paul, Thanks for offering to look up a Pierce in Alabama. You'll probably get lots of requests, but I'll add mine to the heap. My first husband's Grandfather was Timothy Jeheu PIERCE. Born 1865 and died abt 1904 in Mt. Pinson, Jefferson County, Alabama. His wife was Irene Tibatha MCCLENDON who died abt 1924 in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama. We have no information about Timothy Jeheu's parents except that we think his father was also Timothy PIERCE. My husband's father was Timothy Orea PIERCE born in Birmingham, Jefferson, Alabama 10 Sep 1890 and died 2 Jul 1951 in Birmingham. My husband, Timothy Orea PIERCE Jr. was born 14 Jun. 1918 in Birmingham and died 7 May 1986 in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California. Any information you can dig up on these names would be much appreciated. My children and I have very little to go on for this search. Thanks in advance. 3. I am looking for the parents of Jared W. Pierce, born Feb 10, 1792 in Halifax, Windham, Vt. He married Louisa Willcox Dec 7, 1815 in Halifax and he is listed on the 1820 Halifax census. I have found several Pierce's from Halifax but have not been able to locate his parents. Has anyone researched this area? Jared and Louisa had 5 children, 2 unnamed girls and 3 boys, George A., Charles and Henry. They moved to Jefferson County, NY sometime between 1820 and 1830 as he shows up on the NY census in 1830. I would love any information about Pierce's from Halifax or Windham County, VT. I will share all that I have. Thanks. Deb Pierce

    2. Dear Marion: Thank you for your response. << Although I wasn't able to find your Jane E. Pierce, I think you are on the right track. The book I have is no where near complete but I do have relatives in Peru, Clinton Co. >> May I ask what book you have? From Interlibrary loan, I have the History of Clinton & Franklin Cos., New York. <<My great great grandfather founded the town.>> It says, on page 341: "John Cochran has the honor of being the founder of the village of Peru, about the year 1795." Is John Cochran your gggrandfather? << As it is a small town in the Adirondacks it is highly unlikely that two families with the same name are not related, It is a large volume but I searched every Jane in it. My great great grandfather had a daughter Jane but she died at the age of 9. It is quite possible that your Jane was named for her, either by an uncle or brother.>> Do you have the names of your gggrandfather's siblings? I could go from there. There are four listings for Avery in my book. Noble, Thomas, William H., and just plain Avery. Are you related to any of them? Thank you for your help. So far you are the only person who has ever answered me. Judy Schor

    3. I live in Alabama. I only have time to go to the library a couple times a month, because I work. Anyway, I can look up census records, but the most unique thing is the Civil War soldier records. I can look at complete files for all Alabama Confederate soldiers. I just need a name, but a company would help, or a home town.

    3. My first known Pierce ancestor was William K. Pierce, b. April 30, 1807, in PA of PA-born parents. He was living in Crawford Co., PA at least from 1840 on till his death Jan. 29, 1891, also in Crawford Co. PA. He married Cinderella (Dunn, we think) about 1835. She too was b. in PA of PA-born parents. There is an Asa Dunn just a few properties over from W. K. Pierce in the 1875 Historical Atlas of Crawford Co., PA, in Fairfield Township. I have a list of his 9 children and some of their spouses. Would love to connect with someone else researching this line. Sincerely, Linda Pierce Moore

    3. I can't get back any further than Robert Weldon Pierce and his first wife who were the parents of Franklin Weldon Pierce. I don't have any names for his first wife or the three daughters that they supposedly had. He married second Lucy Hannah Lovering and from there I have gobs of information. If anyone has anything else to shed light on this family, I would appreciate it. They were married in Melrose, MASS and moved to Florida where he died in April 1895. Lucy and the rest of the family moved to Providence, Rhode Island where she is buried. Thanks Helen STRONG Pond IBSSG Woodland, GA
