Does anyone researching Pierces in NY have an Eli PIERCE who graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1823? There was a medical school in Fairfield, Herkimer Co. I believe these two colleges might be the same. There was an Eli Pierce listed in the 1820 NY census in Cayuga Co., Cato Twp. Also an Eli Pierce in 1820 NY census for Cortland Co., Homer Twp. An Eli Pierce in 1830 NY Census in Cayuga Co., Ira Twp. An Eli Pierce in 1830 NY Census in Greene Co., Athens Twp. An Eli Pierce in 1840 NY Census in Greene Co. If he is part of your family I would greatly appreciate receiving some information on him, spouse and children. Thank you.

To all my Pearce cousins, my computer crashed three weeks ago and I'm just getting back up. I lost both my hard drives and all my email addresses. I am basically researching the descendants of Capt Andrew Jackson Pierce Born Hall CO. GA 1815 died Cleburne, Johnson County TX 1892, and his descendants. His son GW (George Washington Pierce) was probably the earliest settler. I am descended from his other son Lorenzo Dow Pierce born cherokee GA 1856, died Spearman, TX Hansford County 1923 I am also researching Reuben Pierce Born Edgefield Dist SC 1768 migrated to Hall/Lumpkin Counties GA,. Died after 1850 Hall Co. GA. He appears to be the father of Andrew Jackson Pierce, Sampson Pierce and Wilson Pierce. I am also researching these families. 1999 I have found indications from various other researchers that the families of Hugh Pierce Fredricksberg VA 1749, and my Reuben Pierce's families appear to be connected. His children were 1. Bettie Pierce bn 1771 married unkown Adams. 2. Charlie Pierce 1773 Spartanber SC 3. George Pierce bn 1776 Migrated To Rusk Co. TX There is much on my website regarding George Washington Pierce. Wanda Ruby [email protected] (of Hernando MS) is also researching this family. see her website at http://members.xoom.com/granwan/index.html 4. Jermiah Pierce bn 1873 5. 1791 Franklin Co GA. Willis Pierce migrated to Smith Co TX 6. Joel Joseph Pierce see Joel Pierce mystery on my website Very Interesting historically im-portant shory here. http://members.xoom.com/ldpierce/Joelpierce.html Wanda and I are interested in getting together a seperate mailing list or reseaching list of other persons researching Hugh Pierce Descendants In addition to the above information I am also researching Abercrombie surname in TX. Capt Andrew jackson Pierce's wife was Nancy Emeline Abercrombie, and are related to James Smither Abercrombie's of Houston the oil family. they were from SC and GA, and her family is fairly well researched. Also researching Wilbanks Surname, my great grandfather's Peg Leg Pierce (Lorenzo Dow) sister Rhoda Pierce, Married Allen Mansel Wilbanks, son of Hiram wilbanks, son of Gardner Wilbanks. These families are also from SC and GA. My address is below the first web address is the start page of my Pierce WebsiteLD Pierce

My great grandfather was Henry A. Pierce b August 1867, d. unknown. Married to Charlotte Daniels, b. in Blackstone MA, November 1872, d. November 1941 in Grafton, MA. Their children are: Waldo N Pierce b. May 1893 in Massachusetts Myron Daniels Pierce, b. November 1896, d. December 1973 in West Boylston, MA (my grandfather) Louis R Pierce, b December 10, 1904 At the time of the 1900 census, he lived on Rockland Street in Woonsocket, RI. I haven't been able to find any other information. Does anyone happen to know of this family. I have checked the forums and there is no information available on either Henry or Charlotte. I did go to the LDS resource center and got the census information and haven't gotten any further. Also, I've heard of the Pierce books - what are they and where are they found? And in the beginning of each digest, it says "CURRENTLY POSTING -- ALL PIERCES LIVING OR PASSING THROUGH STATES BEGIN WITH "A", ALSO POST YOUR OLDEST LINES IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO & OF COURSE, POST YOUR LATEST QUERIES OR STUMBLING BLOCK! ENJOY .... Your list coordinators." -- what does this mean? I don't mean to sound ignorant, but I really am stumped. Thanks for your help! Darlene Parker Gilbert, Arizona
Marion, Do you have the birth date for James H Pierce or aproximate dates on these Pierce's. Thanks, Carla
I was notified of the death of my brother on Dec. 29, l999. I had talked to him on Dec. 26 and had no reason to be apprehensive about him. Apparently he died in his sleep. Survivors are myself (Marion Avery) , a niece, Peggy Avery-Leach,and four nephews, Bruce, Robert, Douglas and David Avery. He is also survived be two stepsons, William and Kevin Marley. He had no children of his own. He was 75. He was an artist and a teacher in the Berkeley area for more that 25 years including a long tenure as an art teacher at Walnut Creek Civic Arts Center. He was a World War II veteran, having served as a pilot in the Army Air Corps and was also an active member of the MG Owners Club. The memorial service was held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Berkeley, According to the line according to "the Pierce Geneology being the Record of the Posterity of Thomas Pierce, an early inhabitant of Charlestown ) by Frederick Beech Pierce of Boston the line goes Thomas 1, Thomas 2, Thomas 3. Timothy 4, Timothy 5, Timothy 6, Palmer 7, Earl 8, and ending with my Great Grandfather Henry, 9. If there is anyone researching this line I would appreciate hearing from them. My Great Grandfather had several siblings, Lewis W. Pierce,Benjamin W, Pierce,William C. Pierce, James H. Pierce, Daniel W. Pierce, Edwin R. Pierce, and John L. Pierce. The book which I inherited from my Grandmother has pictures and obituaries, etc. that she has added. The direct line from my Great Grandfather continues as follows: Frederick Wright Pierce.10, Earl Douglas Pierce, 11. and my brother, Earl Douglas Pierce Jr.,12 .
I don't know why my last message came through in that manner. It doesn't look like that on my message. Sorry!! Nita
Search Terms: PEARCE (20) Database: Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy, Vol. 1 Combined Matches: 20 Next Hits Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy Perquimans County, North Carolina page xv The earliest existing records of a monthly meeting in Perquimans County begin with 1680. In that year Christopher Nicholson and Ann Atwood were married in a meeting held at the house of Francis Toms. Witnesses to this marriage included Charles Prows, William Bundy, Jona. Phelps, Joseph Scott, John Peirces, James Hogg, Henry Prows, James Hill, Francis Toms, Henry White, Hannah Hill, Mary Peirce, Dorothy Prows, Ann Prows and Priscile Toms. In the following year Henry White and Damaris Morison were left at liberty to proceed in marriage by "a monthly meeting held at the house of Henry Prows in Little River." In 1683 William Bundy and Mary Peirce published their intention of marriage at a quarterly meeting held at the house of Christopher Nicholson. They were married 15th of 10th month at the house of Mary Peirce. Witnesses included Jno. Thuspane(?), Christo. Nicholson, William Bundy, Hannah Phelps, Ann Wilson, John Johnson, Joseph Scott, Mary Bundy, Hannah Hill, Mary Scott, Ann N! icholson, Jno. Nicholson, Jona. Phelps, Joshua Scott and Robert Wilson. On the 19th of 8th month, 1687, John Belman and Sarah Wilson were married at the house of Jona. Phelps. Witnesses included Hannah Hill, Hannah Phelps, Johannah Jenkins, Elizabeth White, Robert Beasley, Isaac Wilson, Jona. Phelps, Ann Wilson, Robert Wilson and William Bundy. Five or six other marriages which are recorded were accomplished prior to 1700. Prior to 1690, most of the meetings appear to have been held at the houses of Jonathan Phelps and Christopher Nicholson. Between 1690 and 1700 they were more frequently held at the house of Francis Toms. Dr. Weeks ("Southern Quakers and Slavery," page 47) concludes that in 1700 there were two monthly meetings and a quarterly meeting in Perquimans County. One of the monthly meetings, he says, was held at the house of Francis Toms, the other at the house of Jonathan Phelps. In 1698 it was agreed by the quarterly meeting that the last seventh day of 7th month i! n every year should be yearly meeting at the house of Francis Toms, the elder. In 1717 week day meetings were directed to be held at the houses of Timothy Clare and Samuel Nickolson. The Upper Meeting House and the Lower Meeting House are mentioned as places of worship as early as 1720. In 1725 a first day meeting was ordered established on the Southwest side of the Perquimans River, to be held alternately at the houses of Gabriel Newby and Thomas Pearce. View full context

Hello fellow Listers. I have joined this list to try to locate info for my great aunt, born Wadie Young, in 1877 in Perry Co., KY to Thomas and Rebecca Young. At some point before 1905 she married a man by the last name of Pierce. I don't even have a first name for him. They had three daughters, Virginia, Lucille and Tenney Belle. In 1905, Wadie purchased 35 acres in Lawrence Co., KY by herself and paid cash. She sold it the next year and moved to Los Angeles, CA where, by 1914, she had married a man named E. A. Webb. She died Feb 4, 1945 in El Dorado Co., CA. Did Mr. Pierce die? Did they divorce? Where were they married? What took Wadie to CA? Was Mr. Pierce in CA and she went to be with him? I have been told that Virginia is the only Pierce child who lived to adulthood, and that Lucille and Tenney Belle both died young. I do not know if there were Webb children. Any clues which you can give me will be so very appreciated. I have been told that El Dorado Co., CA is full of Pierce's. Thanks! Sharon Young Jebavy Columbus, OH [email protected]

Looking for information of ancestors of William Pierce who married ELIZABETH HENDERSON December 24, 1844 in West Boylston, Massachusetts. I don't know yet where he was born or who his parents were. In 1850 he moved to Pittsfield Mass where he died in 1901. He is my GGGrandfather (Grandmother's Grandfather). See tree report below. Also interested in his children.
