Thanks for your message David. The info I have on John Nelson PIATT is based on his death certificate and the info was given by his son. John Nelson d in Sugar Creek, Ohio April 26, 1930 and is b in Rock Hill Cemetary. DOB on death certificate is Sep 26, 1850. However on tombstone (also erected by his children) DOB is 1846. Additionally, if the GAR marker is there correctly there were between 7 - 11 John PIATT's served in Civil War, one of whom was 18 yrs of age and served 90 days. Your John would not have been old enough for Civil War, would he? Regards, Carolyn
