Hello, list. It's fabulous to find so many Piatt messages in my inbox. Some are personal, some from the list. I will answer them soon. Also, I will post information about the Piatt Researchers Conference to the list soon, this weekend I hope. I hope all of you will consider joining us this year. Then we can rent out the whole college! We have a great location close to New Jersey. I prepared a post concerning "Jacob of Pennsylvania" last Tuesday but didn't get it sent to the list. It will go out with this bunch, but if your browser lists messages chronologically this message will appear back with Tuesday's messages. Pardon the personal message here but it will explain my sporadic time at the computer. My husband, Ed, had a mild heart attack last Saturday night. Being a great multi-tasker that some of you know he is he just worked this in with his other activities. He stayed in Mansfield hospital until Tuesday and I took him to Grant in Columbus Wednesday where he had catheterization, angioplasty, and an insertion of a stent in the left anterior descending artery to correct the 90% blockage. I brought him home yesterday and he is feeling great. In between Ed's hospital stays my mother's "bad cold" got a lot worse and I took her to the ER last Tuesday night. (That's why I forgot to send the Jacob posting.) She is still a patient but is much better, receiving treatment for pneumonia.
