    3. I would like very much to get the information that you have on her. Is this the same Artimentia Piatt, daughter of John H. Piatt (son of Lewis Jr.) and Elizabeth Jane Hayslip? She is not a direct descendent of my line (I am from the Lewis Sr, John H. line) but she is still in my Piatt family. I would like to know all the puzzling details. She, however, was not buried as Artimisha, but Nellie Kunzman, one of the many names she was known by.She, to say the least, had a quite colorful past before ending up with a sash cord around her neck. I picked up the investigation from news articles from 1934 and discovered her actual name and her 9 marriages. She left a path of tragedy upon about everybody who encountered her. It's a strange, fascinating story. A section of Ripley is known as Dead Woman's Hollow because of her. She's buried in an unmarked grave in the Pisgah Ridge Cemetery which is in Levanna, a west section of Ripley. > > > ==== PIATT Mailing List ==== > You can contact the listowner (that's me, Christine!) at > xinegirl@gateway.net > with any questions, problems, or suggestions! > > > ============================== > Shop Ancestry - Everything you need to Discover, Preserve & Celebrate > your heritage! > http://shop.myfamily.com/ancestrycatalog > >
