Oh, boy, you opened a barrel of Elizabeths! I once did a printout from the IGI of Elizabeth DUNHAMs and it took SEVERAL pages. This was in an attempt to help determine the parentage of the Elizabeth DUNHAM who married Jacob MARTIN, my 5th great grandparents. Hasn't helped, YET!! Here are just a few that we have -- from our MARTIN history, compiled by Louise MARTIN MOHLER: "Elizabeth DUNHAM, Jacob's wife (yes, s/o Jonathan MARTIN), has been given various parents and at this point we are not sure just exactly who her parents were. We do know she is not the dtr. of Edmund DUNHAM and Dinah FITZ RANDOLPH. She had been previously listed as the dtr. of Edmund DUNHAM and Mary DUNN and now we find that has never been substantiated. There are a number of Elizabeth DUNHAMs to choose from which makes it more difficult. Jacob's father, Jonathan MARTIN married Elizabeth DUNHAM, his uncle Jacob PIATT/PYATT married Elizabeth DUNHAM and Jacob himself married an Elizabeth DUNHAM (as written above). Benajah DUNN married Elizabeth DUNHAM d/o of Edmund and Dinah FITZ RANDOLPH." Too bad some of them didn't go by distinctive name, as Big Elizabeth, Red Elizabeth... men did, why not the gals!?
