For Anita, Canton is in Stark Co OH, almost a twin city with Akron OH which is in Summit Co OH. Hamilton Co OH contains Cincinnati. Your better bet for finding Piatts in 1828 would be in Hamilton Co, rather than in Canton. Something might have gotten changed in the retelling over the years. A map I have shows 11 locations for Five Points, but only one Canton and one Canton Road, both in Stark Co.
