Laverne, I originally knew this place as Davis' Caves and many of the locals still say "Davis Caves in Piatt Park." I was wondering if there was a connection to the Piatt line somewhere. When I was a kid, it was a pretty good hike, and a bit dangerous due to the steep slopes, to get into the area. Since the county made it a park it is a very nice walk through. My favorite time to go is at the end of winter, before the weather gets warm.
