For Joann, I don't know the names of the parents of ELIZABETH DUNHAM. What I find strange is that in doing work on this line of her and JACOB PIATT who died in Washington Co PA in 1784 and trying to follow them from the Path Valley of central PA to western PA, I don't run across the DUNHAM name. In the records I've checked such as tax, land, and estate DUNHAM is not there or at least not obviously there. The closest has been DUNNING. So I'm wondering if JACOB went back to New Jersey, where the name is more prevalent, to find his wife. I like your note. I think it is especially important to remind people to cite sources when known and to double check against original records anything that is received from a secondary source such as from another researcher or on internet sites. Even the IGI's information is only as good as the research skills of the submitter. -- Laverne Ingram Piatt Ontario, OH
