Please reply to the address below, thanks! -------- Original Message -------- Subject: {not a subscriber} James Piatt Date: Mon, 9 Apr 2001 08:07:45 -0600 From: JudyHiertz@aol.com To: piatt-l@rootsweb.com I am looking for info on James Piatt born Nov. 10,1779 to William and Sarah Shotwell Piatt. I am looking for his military records to the war of 1812. I also would love to get the proper pronounciation of the name PIATT this is my husbands family and would enjoy being able to say it correctly (so would his family!) My husbands aunt would like to make it to the conference this summer for me I must stay home with 3 children and run my design business. I will contact LaPiatt @worldnet .att.net about this thank you for any help y'all can send me ! Anne Sbarbaro Barbshome@msn.com
(replying to all three addresses as Im not sure which one is actually Anne's) My Dad and his family (from western WV) pronounce it pie'-it but here in Toronto, actually at my daughters school, there is a family named Piette and they pronounce it Pee-et'-ee. I have also heard pee'-ott.
