We pronounce it pie'-it also. Amanda Cincinnati, OH
It's "Pie'-it" in Monroe, Ashland and Richland Counties in Ohio, too. I've also heard "Pie'-att'" with almost equal emphasis on each syllable. And there's the French "Pee-ott'" retained by the Castle folks. I've also been told that Pyott can be pronounces "Pie'-ote." All pronounciations are invited to the conference in June! -- Laverne Ingram Piatt Ontario, OH
