Hi, I hope somebody can help me. From a microfilm of original records entitled Wills (and probate records) I obtained the dates and file numbers for an individual who died in 1889. With that information I wrote to the Register of Wills at the Phila. City Hall to obtain copies. Yesterday I received a reply that stated there was no record for this person. Does anyone have a clue why there's a listing in the index but no file? Thanks in advance, Kay in California.
