Today I located a marriage for Wm B CROUT at PCA, though I thought it was too early to be him since I was looking for a marriage to Rebecca who'd still be a child. Here's what I've got, and I do believe it is the Wm I seek: Wm B CROUT, age 27 (could be 29), born in Phila, married Ida KRECKEBAUM, age 21, born in Phila. Married in a Methodist church on Richmond St. He was a conductor living on Richmond St; she was living on Richmond St. The 1860 census shows Wm residing w/the Kreckerbaum's, including Ida. The 1870 census shows Wm living with his brother John J CROUT and no wife/no Ida. What happened to this marriage? To Ida? Wm B has a child with Rebecca in 1872, so I was hoping to find a marriage between 1870 & 1872 but so far no luck with that. --------------------------------- Ahhh...imagining that irresistible "new car" smell?
