    3. The City Hall Wills Index Room has bound ledgers -- not microfilm -- that index wills and admons, from 1600s up to present. Some of these may have been microfilmed, but certainly not all. (I only use the originals, so can't provide details of the microfilm). If you're OK with looking at microfilm of the clerk's summary of the wills/admons, then by all means, use microfilm (available multiple places, including LDS and HSP). To see the full file, however, including many, many papers not summarized in the clerk's books, you have to order and view them at the Register of Wills office in City Hall. Because they are stored offsite (at the Wills Archives -- NOT the City Archives -- which the public is no longer allowed to access), you must order the file on one visit, and view the file on the next. Best case, you have several hours to kill between ordering and viewing the file; more likely, you'll have to come back on another day. On Apr 2, 2007, at 2:03 PM, organizr01@aol.com wrote: > 1. Can the films be accessed immediately?
