I haven't looked at the LDS catalog to know whether or not the actual wills and admins might be filmed also, but the answer to the second part of your question is, no, not any more. All wills/admins have to be ordered either in person or by mail from the Register of Wills in City Hall. There is no more same day service by going to the C.A with the indexes in hand. jo ----- Original Message ----- From: <organizr01@aol.com> To: <philly-roots@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 07:24 AM Subject: Re: [Phly-Rts] Orphans Court question > Let's clarify. > > The indexes are City Hall and the Family History LIbrary, but the actual wills and administrations are at the City Archives. 1. If City Hall has both the indexes and the wills and administrations on film, is there some advantage to seeing the actual wills, which you have to wait for from the City Archives? 2. Can the films be accessed immediately? -----Original Message----- From: phillysleuth@verizon.net To: philly-roots@rootsweb.com Sent: Mon, 2 Apr 2007 12:41 PM Subject: Re: [Phly-Rts] Orphans Court question I haven't looked at the LDS catalog to know whether or not the actual wills and admins might be filmed also, but the answer to the second part of your question is, no, not any more.
