    1. [Phly-Rts] William FINLEY burial / Patrick FITZPATRICK death record

    3. My Rose (Rosa, Roseanna) FITZPATRICK Finnegan (Finegan) is just a bit of a challenge. I've recently learned that she had a brother named Peter, so I was hoping to see if tracing Peter might provide clues. The 1890 death registers have a note "records for this year not available", and his death in the newspaper gave me an approximate date only, so I visited the cemetery to confirm his date of death. My question about him: does anyone happen to know if the 1890 death register is available at PCA, or is a year not available at all? The puzzling part now is that someone was buried with him that I can't connect to the family. Rose died in 1892; she was buried at a different cemetery; her address was different than William FINLEY's. William is buried with Peter, so I looked him up in the death register: he was born in Ireland and died in Ward 30 Philadelphia on 21 Feb 1899 at age 81. He was single, no occupation listed. I'm curious more than anything, and once I began to look for him in the census, I became more curious. I *think* that he is the 69-yr-old Wm FINLEY in Ward 30 in 1880, residing in a US Naval Asylum, but this is as far as I got; it's the closest match so far. Any ideas on who this man might be? --------------------------------- Check out the all-new Yahoo! Mail beta - Fire up a more powerful email and get things done faster.
