Bev W. If you have access to ancestry.com, they have an 1890 Philadelphia Directory. A search of this directory shows: Henry Seher, undertaker, 2009 E. Susq'ana av Susa'ana av is the abbreviation for Susquehanna Avenue, which is actually Otis Street. The name changed in 1885, right about the time you are looking. Searching under Otis street brings up a couple of hits for other folks, but they weren't undertakers. A search under "funeral" as in funeral director, produced zero hits, presumably that term wasn't used in the directory in 1890. The 2009 Susquehanna Avenue address would today be up near Front Street & Susquehanna Avenue (east of Front street). Ken Milano PS.
