When I worked Civil Service for the Department of Defense they used my maiden name initial instead of my middle name initial. This caused problems in signing my paychecks before they went to direct deposit. I had to sign checks first name, middle name initial,maiden name initial, last name. Having long first & last names made for some weird signatures to fit it all in.,
