Hazel, I've found some marriage notices in Philadelphia, an 1880 census in Chester (spelling was Dredding), and an article naming Mary C. Dredden as administratix to Floyd E. Butler. I know her middle initial is incorrect, but I also know errors are found in newspapers, so let me know if this of interest to you.
