Larry B. ----Original Message Follows---- 1816: Cure Louis, watchmaker and jeweller 227 N. 2d 1810: Cure Walter, shoemaker 287 Callowhill The above Louis CURE is a connection of mine. Walter remains unknown at the moment, but surely must connect somehow! Now in October 17, 1797, there was an advertisement offering money for the return of a runaway apprenticed boy named Walter CURE who was wanted by Thomas HAYS, shoemaker! Surely all of this connects somehow. Louis had come from NY to Philadelphia, and and a bit later, returned to NY, where he died in 1848. Now if Walter was an apprentice in 1797, surely he was born sometime about 1787 or a few years before - says 1782 to 1787. Louis, on the other hand, was born 1785 - 1790. A brother? A cousin? A stranger? Thanks for any tips/leads... By the way, a Walter Cure was found for 1790, 1810, and 1820 in New York.
