A donation of $100.00 is generous, but VERY helpful to a parish like Holy Cross. The church is huge (imagine the heating bill!). Mt. Airy is an area of lovely homes, but I suspect there are few Catholics in the area. I just googled the church and they have only two Masses on weekends, so I imagine they are struggling. If you send a request to Philadelphia Archdiocesan Historical Rsearch Center-PAHRC-they will fill your request. You will find forms at http://www.pahrc.net . The cost is $25.00 for the research time, but Chris Friend, the asst. archvist, does an outstanding job. The website contains good information.
