If you go to the office at City Hall (Room 415 - I think) you can request a search for that cert -- then you'll have to go back a few days later and they will let you view a copy (you can't take that home but you can write down the info -- this option is considerably less in price -- I think it's $10).  If you want a copy and don't want to pay all the $$ it says on the website, go to the same office and request a copy -- it's $20 and they will mail it to your home so you don't have to make a second trip.  I think by going to the office to make the initial request you save $15.
