Seeking information please from perhaps the 1840, 1850 or 1860 Philadelphia census for Ann Porter Young, probably born about 1900, emigrated from Ireland, married Josiah Edwards, had one son, Jeremiah Edwards. Ann's parents did not emigrate to America. Ann's date of emigration to America has not been found. Ann alone, or Ann and her husband, or the couple and their son, removed to Findley, Ohio, but when that move occurred is also not known. Ann's sister Sarah Young also emigrated from Ireland, date unknown. Sarah reportedly married a Gilfillan, date unknown, no known children. Ann and Sarah also had two brothers, Alexander Young (distiller) and Richard, both or whom remained in Philadelphia but the sisters Ann and Sarah are not known to have resided with their brothers. Richard married in Ireland (Dorcas Adair or Elizabeth ______) before their emigration to America; they had three daughters, Ann, Dorcas and Sarah. Records were found in the 1860 Philadelphia census for Richard, Richard's wife, Elizabeth, and daughters Ann and Dorcas, but nothing for Sarah Young who is said to have married Robert Rule and have left descendants. Sarah Young may have married Robert Rule before 1860. Thanks for any assistance.
