There's a good chance they may not have any record of those births. I've sent for birth certs for a couple of my people, pre-1900, and there were none. A lot of people were born at home back then and I don't think the state or city were very strict about registering the births back then. The only thing they found for my paternal grandfather from February 1898 was a hospital record from the old Women's Medical Center. I would like to send for 3 birth certificates, one from 1886, one from 1890 and one from 1897. Would these be available from the city archives on Market Street, and is the fee $10.00 per certificate?
