    3. Hi all, I live in Idaho and am having trouble figuring out some things about where records can be located in the Philadelphia area. I am trying to find the death record of a Jane or Jennie Patterson Stevenson who I believe died on 6 May 1934. (I have an original telegram sent to my family at the time that said Aunt Jennie died). The PA vital records cannot locate a death certificate and the free library of Philadelphia looked for obit/death notice from 7-11 May 1934 in the Philadelphia Bulletin and Evening Public Ledger and found nothing. She died suddenly (coronary thrombosis); perhaps they took her to a hospital not in Philadelphia County? In the 1930 census she (age 58) was living with her husband William Stevenson (age 57) at 6248 Gardenia Street, Philadelphia, where they had lived for many years. William was an engineer at Girard College - would the college have any records of him? He worked there more than 30 years - from before 1900 to after 1930. I can't locate his death either. Is there another place besides Philadelphia they might have died? What cemeteries are near their address? Can't find any cemetery information either, from what I can find on-line. So, I am hoping that someone can give me some ideas on how to search for their deaths/burlals. Thank you, Marilyn [email protected]
