I am helping someone with her Philadelphia search. It's been some time since I Emailed a request to FLP. Is [email protected] still valid? Regards, Mary McCanney Finley
Hi All, I have read so many emails where you all helped others find clues of their past.? I am trying to find any information on a business named Markmann Bottling Co.,that was located at 1630 Thompson Street, Phila.? This residence/business was owned by Gerhard Markmann (b 2/12/1864 Germania - d 10/5/1913 Phila) and his wife Eva Schaebler Markmann (b 1870 Germany - d 1944 Phila).? Gerhard died at 47 however Eva continued on until her death, at which time their son John (Jack) took over.? I see Eva as the head of household with her children?on the 1920 census; she was still at the same address and still a bottler.? Any clues to info about the company, etc.? would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much! -----Original Message----- From: Mary Finley <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sun, 10 May 2009 3:32 pm Subject: [Phly-Rts] Free Library of Philadelphia I am helping someone with her Philadelphia search.
