Hi, Does anyone know of any websites (free or paid) where Philadelphia area newspapers can be searched on-line for the period 1890 to 1970? I know they have them at the Free Library of Philadelphia, and I have had them do a few lookups for me, but I really need to go through the papers myself. And I live in Idaho. Also, do obituaries from towns in Montgomery County get put in the Philadelphia papers? I have only found death notices so far. And, is there a local paper for say, Ardmore, that might have more information? I have the dates I am interested in but it's not something I can ask someone to do for me, as I'm not entirely sure what I am looking for....... Hoping someone can provide this info to help in my search. Thanks, Marilyn
Check your local library website for access to Genealogy Bank. Philadelphia is in there. You will probably just need a library card to access.
