OUTRAGEOUS! I received this notice today from the Free Library of Philadelphia, times are achanging. Marian in Virginia Beach  Effective July 27, 2009 the Free Library changed its service fee policy.  Our new fee structure is as follows for the Newspaper Department:       $10 for up to 3 "look up" requests (whether or not staff can find the obituaries) plus $5 for shipping/handling for all photocopy requests sent through U.S. Post.        We are currently in the process of editing our web page to reflect these changes.   In the interim, there will be a grace period during which we will continue to charge the $1.00 fee for two searches.
