You might want to try the Philadelphia City Death Certificates 1803-1915 on the FamilySearch. Here's the link: http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=collectionDetails;c=1320976 There are several Batezel listings there. I see Margaret died in Lower Dublin. I believe that is in Montgomery Co., PA. You might want to look there for the death certificate. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dorothy Scott" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, January 06, 2010 4:26 PM Subject: [Phly-Rts] Death Records 1853 > Hello, > > I am seeking information re death of my gr gr grandmother Margaret F. > Batezel in Lower Dublin, 8 Jan. 1853. Lower Dublin was in Philadelphia. Roughly, it was (is) between Cottman Ave. and a line just South of Red Lion Road and the Montgomery County line and the Delaware River in Northeast Philadelphia. Cemetery returns from 1803 to 30 June 1860 are at the Philadelphia Archives and on "Family Search". Gene Stackhouse in Germantown Heights. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
