Hi Sarah, Many thanks for your response. I'm an Englishman married to a Scots girl so my research alternates between the two sets of records. Like you I find Ancestry quite expensive so limit myself to occasional subscriptions and at the moment am not subscribed. In any case they're not too hot on Scottish Records. One of the best sites is www.*scotlandspeople *.gov.uk <http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/> which works on a credit system. Another Scottish site you might try is *www.scotlandsfamily.com/* <http://www.scotlandsfamily.com/>* *Meanwhile, I'll browse around to see if I can come up with anything for you.
