Hi, I am looking for a source for books for sale covering Philadelphia City and Philadelphia County. I would appreciate all help. You might want to check GoogleBooks to see what you can find there for free. Quite a bit about Philadelphia and right now vol 2 of Scharf's history is available. Also see Watson's Annals of Philadelphia which is an interesting read - parts are quite fascinating when he includes recollections about the weather in the early 1800s. Cold summers, and so forth. Internet Archive and others would have similar. There is a reprint of Watson that you can buy - the print on demand is $27 whereas the Cornell U. scanned version is $39 on Amazon. Alibris and Abe Books [and other used book retailers] would also have a nice selection. Both are good, I work in a library and we sometimes buy from Alibris if needed. Liane Fenimore
