Vince Ancestry.com and Genealogybank.com have removed the SSN's from anyone who died in the past 10 years, they still list the names and dates of birth and death. The only source I have been able to find is the FamilySearch.org website, as of today they are still listing the SSN. Also the Social Security Admin will blank out the parents names if the individual is less than 100 years old, I have had 5 SS-5's returned with this in the past month. In order to receive a complete SS-5 you have to furnish proof of death of both parents. Totally useless, but I have filed an appeal. My orders were received by the SSA in August 2011 but the new policy was put into effect in Nov 2011. I guess I have to suffer because of the slowness of the SSA.
