Can anyone help find burial place, obit or mortuary notice, for Josiah K Proctor. I found a short death notice for him in a remote newspaper, but hoping, because of his notoriety, that there is one in the Philadelphia papers. Also of his wife, Sarah J PROCTOR, who died bet 1920 and 1930. 2/13/1920 edition page 10 of The Patriot, a Harrisburg paper:Josiah K Proctor Dies-Noted Textile Inventor Philadelphia, Feb 12 - Josiah K Proctor, Wyncote, died today in Ocean City NJ. He was 72 years old. He was a native of Chelmsford, Mass. Mr. Proctor was inventor of a textile drying machine widely used in this country. He designed the first garnett machine in this country. In 1900 he lived in Philadelphia. In 1910 and 1920 census, he was in Cheltenham in Montgomery Co, but appears to have died in Ocean City NJ. Two infant daughters are buried at Mt Vernon cemetery, in Philadelphia. Am looking for where he and his wife are buried. He was head of Proctor-Silex back then. Thanks and Merry Christmas to all, Diana in Alabama audianaq@msn.com
