    3. Thanks to all who've helped with the research on the Emil H. Schuetz suicide-murder that took place on Jan 1, 1946. There is still a lot of confusion in trying to connect the Emil Schuetz who lived in Manchester, CT and the one who lived in Greenfield MA & Philadelphia. I have Emil H. Schuetz b1888 to Henry August Schuetz (1857-1955 CT?) & Johanna Leopoldine Kerwat/Krawart/Karbat (1856-1944 CA). Emil has a brother, William b1886 CT. Emil married Mae Hinaman 1912 Orange Co, NY. Children include a daughter, Victoria b1916 CT). In 1930 Emil & Mae are living in East Hartford, CT In 1942 the WWII draft registration gives Emil's residence as Philadelphia with closest relative, Henry (father?) living in Manchester, CT. Emil's DOB Oct 1, 1888 Conn. On Jan 1, 1946 the suicide-murder in Philly. Emil's spouse, Margaret (Eppler) in Greenfield MA with oldest son, Donald. Jan 4, 1946 Hartford Courant: Emil leaves a brother, William, in CT (this matches census info). His father, Oscar, in Manchester, refuses to claim body. Could "Oscar" really be Henry "August" Schuetz? Problems: 1) the website, Germans to Franklin County Massachusetts Genealogy, has Emil H. Schuetz marrying Margaret Eppler on Sep 25, 1927 in PA. This does not make sense as Emil & Mae Hinaman were still together on the 1930 East Hartford census. It would work if the marriage date was 1937. 2) The Springfield Union paper of 7/71959 has a short item: 'Miss Victoria Schuetz of Hartford has requested police assistance in locating a brother's widow, Mrs. Margaret Schuetz. She told police Mr. and Mrs. Emil H. Schuetz lived in Greenfield in the late 1930s when they moved to Pittsfield. They returned to Greenfield in 1946, she said.' The above would make sense if Victoria was given as Emil's daughter, not his sister. This is not the first strange incident with this family. In 1906 Mrs. Henry Schuetz went missing for a few weeks to "Camden, PA" and returned refusing to elaborate. Would be grateful for any help in straightening out the discrepencies in Emil Schuetz 2 families. Thanks. Bob Foran - CT
