That sounds possible, Larry. And I just checked Arias and the civil war on the PA site, and there were several DOERRs that could well have been brothers to John George, or at least cousins. So maybe there is more work to be done that will tighten things up. According to the 1900 census there was a John (NMI) Doerr, produce dealer, born August 1848, immigrated 1870 as follows: Doerr, John b. Aug 1848, married 25 yrs, parents and self born Germany, imm 1870, 30 yrs in US, produce dealer Doerr, Mary B, wife, b. Jan 1855, 10 children 7 living, parents and self born Germany, imm 1873 27yrs in US children: Harry William Frederick George Mary Residence was 2425 West Huntingdon Street.
