WALTER G. HUTZ of Green Valley passed away on Feb. 9, 2012. He was born in Sharon, Pa. on July 8 1918. He spent over 40 years working for Joy Manufacturing Co. Following retirement he moved to Green Valley, where he pursued his passion for golf, was an usher at the 9 a.m. Sunday Mass at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, and a member of the Elks Club, the Desert Hills II HOA, and the Men's Club. Walter was preceded by his loving wife Pearl, his parents Katherine and John Hutz, and three brothers, Leo, Martin, and George Hutz. Surviving are brother John (Nancy); three children, Nancy (William) Willoughby of Grand Blanc, MI, Bill (Cindy) Hutz of Houston, TX, and Marilyn (Frank) Wheeler of Green Valley. In addition, there are six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A memorial mass will be held on March 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church and full military honors rendered by American Post 66 Color Guard.
