    3. Hi Brenda, The answer in my experience is: "probably not." I speak from experience rather than from expertise so please take it with a grain of salt. I'm sure that there are others on the list who are far more knowledgeable. The date of the deed may be helpful, as that must post date the action. The action will be found with the grantor of the deed as the defendent in a civil case. Here in Allegheny County there is a "General Judgement Index" which has docket entries for "all" of the civil actions. It's held by the Office of the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, i.e. the Prothonotary's office. Many counties do not have a Prothonotary. Here the General Judgement Index is online for all cases running from 1973-present. The earlier stuff must be searched on the spot or you can pay the office to do it. I hope this is accurate enough to at least not be harmful.
