    3. It has been some time since I used the index but I did get the information regarding the estate files from it. I think it also gave me information regarding the docket. One piece of advice there may be more than one file and it could extend over a number of years so don't stop looking after finding the first file. Good Luck Ray -----Original Message----- From: Brenda Antal Sent: Thursday, May 17, 2012 7:34 AM To: List Philly Roots Subject: [Phly-Rts] Orphans' court records A bit of confusion, hopefully someone can help. I see the LDS has Orphans' Court index, Orphans' Court dockets and Orphans' Court estate papers. The dockets and estate papers seem to have coordinating volume number and dates, BUT is the index for the dockets or the estate papers? I am assuming I will gain more info from the estate papers than from the dockets, please correct me if I'm wrong. Trying to figure which films to order. 3. George, It is likely Bucks County would hold the death certificate. There was a WPA project in the 1930's where Veterans gravesites were recorded on a "Grave Registration Record" card. It was a standard form. I know Pennsylvania participated in the program. I am uncertain where the cards are kept, but I think contact with the PA State Archives might help find their location. The card gives a good deal of information about the Veteran including the burial location. Hope this helps. 3. I have tried to find how I could send for a death cert for a ww1 Vet using the info on his burial card. The card gives his DOB as 7/25/91 and DOD 8/16/41. I also have his WW1 Draft Registration Card and it gives his DOB as 7/28/90 in Philadelphia, PA. His draft card lists his name as Francis Patrick Corrigan, living at 630 Pine St. Bristol, PA. Bucks County. The burial card lists his name as Francis P. Corrigan, under remarks it says, died in Philly Co. and interred in Bucks Co. Under " information given by" Phila. Co. It also says that "after being recorded in the county's Veterans Grave Registration Record, this card is to be sent to The Adjutant General's Office, Harrisburg, Pa. for final record. My Corrigan family came to this Country in 1888 and Francis was the first of 4 boys to be born here, he served in the US Army and his younger brother William served in the Canadian Army. My question is, based on the information on the Burial card, my Uncle Francis last days or months, death and burial were handled by the Army, do they also have his death certificate? Would appreciate any info or suggestions. Regards George Corrigan Buffalo, NY

    1. [Phly-Rts] Morris Nursing Home In Philadelphia about 1950's
    2. Mary Walsh
    3. Hi, I'm trying to find out what ever happened to my great-grandfather's sister. She was born Johanna Kennedy in 1893 but went by the names of Jean and Jennie. I last find her in the 1930 Census with her mother, Margaret Sullivan Kennedy. It is thought that by the late 1950's and/or the early 1960's that Jennie was in the Morris Nursing Home in Philadelphia. I'm not having any luck finding it online. Is anyone familiar with this nursing home? Thanks, Mary
