Hi Nancie, Sorry about you being snowed in. Its 70 degrees here tonight in South Central Fl, about two hours south of those wicked tornadoes. Wondering if you can find my grandfather's marriage certificate. His name was Frederick (Fred) Louis (L.) Sulpice (Sulpies). On his WW1 Draft enlistment he says he is 21, was in the Navy previously for 3 years and he is married. I have a hint that his marriage was to an Elizabeth Matteo but have not been able to find anything definitive. I would love to be able to find his marriage record from Philly, PA. I do not know the year he was married. He was born 1895 in Waveland, Ms but often lists his birth as Louisiana, where he was raised. He died in New York after running away from his wife and rumored child in Philly and later marrying my grandmother with their 5 children. So I may have a "lost family" out there somewhere. My mother is still alive and has always wanted to meet her half sibling or surviving family. Frederick Louis Sulpice, born 7 Dec. 1895 Married between 1912 ?(age 17)--to 1917 ? (age 21). Thank you very much for the offer to do lookups and I hope your weather turns warmer soon. Regards, Carol
Patti: Palmer vault was in Palmer cemetery. The cemetery is still there and in use. It runs from Belgrade to Memphis Sts, and Montgomery to Palmer Sts. The neighborhood is Fishtown. Norris Square is a park located at Hancock & Diamond Sts. Tom
It means that assuming the question was asked and answered correctly she died during the year beginning June 1 1879 and ending May 31 1880. The cause of death looks like typhoid pneumonia to me. Question, it says at top of page : Persons who DIED during the year ending May 31, 1880 so does that mean she died in 1880 or sometime during May 1879-May 1880? It's Phil.,Phil.,Pa. pg. 473 At the bottom SARAH RINK age 71 F I really can't make out what it says for cause of death and or the name of the person to the right of it. Also can't read the header for that column of who that person on the right its. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Patti
I am interested to know if anyone is researching "Thatchers" or "Stevens" in the Philadelphia Roots Web family? My Thatchers were originally from New Jersey. The Stevens family is from Somerton Pa.. John Stevens was married to Sarah Thatcher in 1826 at All Saints Episcopal Church in Torresdale Pa. Their children married Reeds and Cornells of Philadelphia and Bucks Counties. Thank you. Norma Stilwell

Mapquest isn't clear (could be user error :)); is this in Germantown or neighboring it please? Has anyone visited there or obtained records there? If so, any tips? I checked HSP and GSP, and they don't have records on their online catalogs for this cemetery. What I hope to learn is who else is buried with Rebecca CROUT and what their dates of death were.
