Good morning Rick, You have enough to contact PAHRC now! If your ancestors met and married in Phila and had children in 1820's the search for sacramental records is limited to Old St. Joseph and Old St. Mary and possibly St. John the Evangelist for any children born after 1830 who didn't survive (quite possible!). St. Augustine was also in existence, but your ancestors appear to be south of Market St., a dividing line between parishes. After working since the age of 11, starting full time work at 17 with only a couple of months off due to birthing my 3 children, at 50 I retired. My husband hasn't of course but I have. It is hard not having structured days anymore. On 3/21 I'll be 52 years old. I'm living in the middle of a forrest in northern Arkansas. No relatives and only a few friends (due to the isolation), with a husband who works and lives in Shanghai China for 70 % of the past few years, I have only my computer, my genealogy, my 3 macaws and my yappy little dog to keep me occupied. My house is spotless (as well as can be expected when one owns parrots). If it weren't for my genealogy research hobby I would go mad. Naaa, I'd probably just find something else to occupy my time! Don't get me wrong though, I'm not lonely. Thank God for the computer. I talk to my kids (33, 26 and 24) more now than ever. I'm very blessed to live in this beautiful place.
