Most likely Our Mother of Consolation on E. Chestnut Hill Ave. Another possibility would be Holy Cross on E. Mt. Airy Ave. I have no idea if they are genealogically friendly. The east side of Moreland Ave. is a mix of houses and some commercial properties. The west side is houses-some very large. Hi Kate- I found Edith's father's obit in the Phila. Inquirer. He is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Try there. Was Emma the sister who wrote the journal? Sister Mary named a daughter Edith. If you need them, I have 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930 census records for some of this family.
