    3. Hi all, i search information about family Stammfuss. i know all about them until the census of 1900. In the censuses from 1910-1930 there is not any hint about the family... Head of the family: Henry Stammfuss( Stamfooz, Stemmfuss, Seammfuss, Stammfuse, Stamfer and so on ... ) * Mai 1839 in germany +? he came 1868 from hamburg to new york - naturalization in 1875 wife: Cordelia *abt 1855 philadelphia +? - no information about her parents they had 6 children (born in philadelphia) and i find nothing about them after 1900 Amelia 22.09.1874 Mary C 18.09.1875 Charles H 13.09.1876 James 26.01.1878 Emma 1880 Frederick C 24.04.1883 In 1900 Henry lived only with Emma in 211 Spruce street. I think they changed the surname Are there any lists of changing surnames? It can also be, that henry and cordelia divorced and the children adopt the maiden name? Henry was a Hotel Keeper - lodgings - boarder - landlord. Are they any lists of hotels or landlords? Where i get the birth certificate or copies of baptismal certificate? Thank you very much for your help. Kori Kruse www.stammfuss.de

    3. Hi, the 1900 census notes that Henry was divorced. His age was listed as 70 years. It is possible that by 1910 he would be dead. Emma might have been married by 1910. Will look a little more for you.
