After four years, I've gotten some great information. Some may recognize the name Ruby Catherine Phillips from my previous posts. She is my mother, born Nov. 24, 1911 in Braymer (Caldwell Co., Missouri). I was able to get her parents' information from the Children's Home Society of Missouri (available on adoptions prior to 1918, which her's was) -- so, anyone make any connections with this set of parents? -- they were not and as far as I know were never married: Mother: Lola B. Phillips (14 years, 4 months old at the time of my mother's birth) Father: Philo Orem (whose mother's name may have been Emma, as an Emma Orem 'co-signed' the papers for surrendering of the baby to the Children's Home Society in 1912.
