I've been cc'ing you in my emails with Jeff Phillips, and the UWEC address bounces. Jeff helped me see the forest for the trees: I think Wm Hart, Nathaniel, James, and Laura may have been the children of Laura ____ and an earlier Nathaniel Phillips. A Laura Osborn, age 79, is living with Laura (Phillips) Swift in Ann Arbor in the 1870 census (officially taken 14 June 1870), and a Laura Osborn was buried next to Nathaniel in Ypsilanti later in 1870. Need to put together my pieces, but I think after Nathaniel Sr. died, Laura Sr. married Israel Osborn, and after he died, she came to live with her ?daughter? Laura Swift, Laura's mom-in-law Rachel (Barlow) Swift, and daughter Lodorsca (spelled "Ladocia" in the census). Thickening the plot, an Anna Osband (formerly spelled Osborn) was Rev. Marcus Swift's first wife. Perhaps coincidence, perhaps not, given the migration patterns, timing, etc. -Ted
