He is known to have married in 1851 in Clarendon to a Merrill. I am stumped for further information. His civil war registration was serverely lacking in the "details" of his life other than to note he was 5' 7". There is an older Ira married to a very young Roana (second wife) who could have been his father in the same town but I am stumped at how a connection can be proven.
