Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/nNABAIB/5850 Message Board Post: In an effort to find out any information about my 2Great-grandfather, Charles Phillips, and his family, I am going through all the family photos and papers I have again looking for something I've missed, something to help me. Each time I've found a new lead, it leads me to my Shedrick relatives and I'm happy to have any information on them, too. I'm happy to have any new information on any line of my family, I know we all feel that way, but I'm really anxious to start researching my Phillips lineage which I know nothing about. I found a photo of my Great-grandmother, Grace Phillips, as a young girl in about 1895. My Great-grandmother is with 3 other girls, one of which might have been her sister, Bessie. As it's a formal photograph, it's very possible that the other girls may be cousins, but I don't yet know of her cousins. On the back of the photograph is written "to Aunty Gertie Bromley" from Grace. Charles and Armitta Shedrick Phillips lived in Rouses Point, NY owning and/or operating a small hotel and their 2 sons (John and George) and their 2 daughters (Grace and Bessie) were all born there. Armitta Shedrick Phillips was born in 1865 in Clarenceville, Quebec. I only know that Charles Phillips was born in Canada in 1850. I'm hoping Gertie is a Phillips, but she may be another Shedrick, Wheeler, Salls or Wait relative. Also, as per the 1880 U.S. Census for Champlain, New York, my 2Great-grandfather Charles was living with his aunt Mary Mandigo. Charles' wife, Armitta Shedrick Phillips was also related to Mandigo's through either her Shedrick or Salls side. I appreciate and am thankful for any help. Joanne
