I think this might help me figure out the parents of Laura Elizabeth Phillips, who married Franklin Swift in Ypsilanti in 1854! Can you elaborate on how Laura fits into the whole Wm. Hart Phillips clan? I outlined what I know about Laura, Delos, et al., in another thread in this Phillips list. But briefly, I'm sure there's a connection (niece, or sister, or cousin): We have a family letter between two of Laura's step-daughters, mentioning Delos Phillips visiting the family in Ann Arbor. And, as you say, a Nathaniel and James Phillips were mentioned in Laura and Franklin's marriage record. I'm the great-grandson of Laura's only child, Lodorsca Adelaide Swift. I've been looking for Laura's parents for twenty years!
