There are so many errors that it is impossible to believe any of the information he publishes. Mr. Ripley states at his World Connect site (Rootsweb) that "Richard Ripley, MA, is a member of APG Association of Professional Genealogists (Westminster, Colorado) and OGS Ontario Genealogical Society (Toronto, Ontario). Nevertheless, there may be some unintentional errors or omissions in some entries here. Also, this site is very busy, and there may be overdue but pending updates." He is no longer a member of the APG. After receiving so many complaints, he has been dropped as a member but continues to indicate as such. In an email sent to the APG, I was informed that they have suspended his membership until such time as he responds to all of the complaints. If any of you have taken info from his site, I suggest you verify it before publishing. Mr. Ripley has plagerized many sites, mine for one, and has not asked for permission to use the information and has not credited the source of the information. He has so many errors in my PHILLIPS line that I stopped adding "Postems". He has not responded to my emails and has not taken action on the postems. Emails were sent over one year ago and postems added in the winter of 2002. This further contradicts his statement "there may be some unintentional errors or omissions in some entries here. Also, this site is very busy, and there may be overdue but pending updates." I concur with Nancy Kiser in her findings. A wise person would not use his data for the several reasons I mention.
