Your family and mine have some interesting possibilities. I will keep you in mind while I check your info. ok? My Mary J. Phillips had a father and brother named Asa, also. Their is also a Chauncy Phillips that was in their groupe that migraited to Michigan in mid 1830's. Is he familiar? An Abagail too. I don't know the connection, but they were in the party. Abigail was the first of this groupe to die. Not long after they reached Mich. For a time I thought she was Marys' mother , but Now I think her mother was named Lucinda, but have no proof. I think I listed Mary and Martin Valentines children before, but will do so again. Maybe a given name will ring true: Laura, Alonzo, Orange Franklin, Asa, Lucinda , Hellen, and Sincerity.(almost unreadable) All 4 sons married Irish girls that came to US thru Canada. All 4 daughters were dead before their father. Martin in 1885. The Phillips name is very prominant in Mich. so is the Valentine Na! me. Easily traceable to NY(Cayuga Co.), and Ma. They are in all censuses since 1840, and some listing of early settelers include both Phillips and Valentines in Marathon Twp. which ended up in Lapeer County, Mi.
